Delicious Air Fryer Sesame Soy Chicken Thighs
I’m still having a great time figuring out how to use my new air fryer. These chicken thighs marinated in an Asian sauce are so easy to make and taste great.
This recipe works well with either thighs or legs, and there was enough marinade for twice as much meat as I used in the recipe. You can also use the remaining marinade to make a glaze for the chicken by reducing it on the stove.
Ingredients
Large bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
Garlic cloves, grated
Grated fresh ginger
Zest and juice of 1 lime
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Chili garlic sauce
Honey
Optional Topping:
Chopped scallions
Toasted sesame seeds
Rice and veggies for serving.
Making Sesame Soy Chicken Thighs In The Air Fryer
Mix the ingredients for the marinade in a large bowl.
Add the chicken and rub it with your hands so that the marinade gets into the meat and under the skin.
Cover and put in the fridge for 2 hours. If you are in a rush, you can still add a lot of flavor in 30 minutes.
In an air fryer set to 400 degrees, cook the thighs for 16 to 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through. If you have smaller pieces, you may only need 16 minutes. The thighs which I used in the recipe are very thick, so I cooked them for the full 20 minutes.
Serve with toppings of your choice and enjoy!
